Plantar Fasciitis Relief

If you have ever had plantar fasciitis, heel and middle of the foot pain caused by irritation of the connective tissue on the bottom of the foot, you know how painful and functionally limiting it can be. Most often anti inflammatories and stretching exercises are recommended and those with the condition are encouraged to wear supportive shoes at all times.

A sturdy box and a backpack can help with heel pain.

A short report in the New York Times this week describes a simple exericse only requiring a box or stairs and a towel.  Try the exericse but do so slowly and only a few repeititons at a time.  Less is more.  Also pay attention to your whole body as you do the movements and don’t forget to breathe.
