Your Moving Back

More time is lost from work because of back injuries than any other condition or injury. Common injuries include sprains, muscle strain, disk compressions and herniation. Back injuries can be quite painful and they certainly limit movement and overall functioning.

We now know that complete rest is not the answer for most back conditions. Neither is maintaining one position – either standing or sitting. Movements done with attention and awareness help with recovery and overall back health.

Our first workshop of 2014 is about backs.

Saturday February 1, 1-4 pm
Feldenkrais Centre Vancouver

In this workshop we will learn strategies to manage back discomfort to help reduce back pain and maintain a healthy active back. The workshop includes movement lessons done on the floor and in sitting and standing. We will also learn about back anatomy and how to prevent injuries.

Our workshops are conducted in our small, intimate and warm studio. Mats and refreshments are provided.
